My work covers various different areas of wellbeing from counselling to coaching, training and clinical supervision. I'd like to describe in broad terms what these different areas look like:
In counselling sessions you and I would work together to find out how to overcome present discomfort and difficulties, to deal safely with the emotions that arise and that may be stopping you from moving on, and to help you find the resources to free yourself from unhelpful blocks, so that you can approach life feeling more empowered.
I am a clinical supervisor for counsellors, offering support to discuss issues in confidence, where there is the opportunity to work together creatively to enhance your work and fulfill your professional requirements. I also supervise workers in other areas of support in the voluntary and care sectors, to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance.
Coaching is discovering and implementing how to get the best from yourself, your attitude and behaviour, and is often approached from a position of relative wellbeing. We would work together in a goal-focused way. However, if more deep-seated issues arise, we can also deal with those in a safe and healing environment.
I work as a trainer in the corporate arena and in Mental Health. For businesses and organisations I run workshops on communication skills, stress management, confidence building, and enhancing personal impact. This can include dealing with difficult conversations, managing change, building team engagement, as well as active listening skills. I also work for the YMCA in East Anglia running schemes of mental health awareness and training in schools and colleges.
I am happy to discuss your needs and plan together how to achieve your goals.
